The Pros and Cons of Different Wedding Seasons

Wedding seasons have an impact on a wedding and need to be considered carefully when deciding on a wedding date. Every bride wants her wedding day to be perfect and choosing the time of year that meets all your requirements can go a long way towards making the day perfect.

Outdoor weddings which are becoming increasingly popular are best held in spring and early summer. Having a wedding outdoors in the height of the summer season can bring its own share of problems with the heat and humidity not to mention the insects that come out during summer. Early fall is also a good time to have an outdoor wedding and maybe an indoor reception depending on how cold the weather is. Holiday weddings are best held during the winter months.

Spring weddings are a favorite choice for couples; spring brings to mind sprouting greenery, flowers blooming, balmy breezes and a sun kissed world that chases away the chill of winter. It‟s a great time for fancy themed receptions requiring fancy dress and formal tuxedos. The wedding can be held outdoors with the greatest ease and you will have a wide range of colors to choose for the wedding because most every flower is in bloom.

Summer weddings are also very popular because beach and water themed weddings are fast becoming increasingly trendy. Tropical or country themed weddings are perfect for summer and with all of nature sprouting in its glory it‟s a fine time for a wedding.

Fall weddings are also popular because of the sheer beauty of the colors of nature. The changing leaves and cool weather are ideal for either an indoor or outdoor wedding. An outdoor ceremony followed by an indoor reception is a good choice because the weather can become quite cool towards the latter part of the evening. Fall weddings provide an excellent backdrop for really beautiful photographs.

People do marry in winter especially if they are planning a skiing honeymoon. The holiday season is an added advantage for a winter wedding. People are free to attend the wedding even if it means some travel involved. A wedding in winter means dealing with snow and wet weather and the flowers you want will in all probability not be in bloom. An outdoor ceremony is out because of the wind chill factor and the snow.

Choosing the season to marry in is entirely up to the bride and groom-to-be and they are sure to have their own reasons why they make a particular choice.
