Family Centered Wedding Vows Idea

Wanting to incorporate a few phrases from the vows that Andrea’s parents had written for their own wedding, Andrea and Michael wrote these family centered together, keeping them very similar, but with a few key differences.

Michael: “I choose you, Andrea, to be my wife, as my friend and love. I take you to be no other than yourself—loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not. I make a commitment to you today that with God’s help I will love and serve, honor and protect you.

I promise to help shoulder our challenges, as there is nothing we cannot face if we stand together. I will walk with you in the sun and through any storm, and promise to keep myself for you alone as long as we both shall live. I love you.”

Andrea: “I choose you, Michael, to be my husband, as my friend and love. I take you to be no other than yourself—loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not. I make a commitment to you today that with God’s help I will love and serve, honor and protect you.

I promise to be your partner in all things, and to create with you a home that will truly be a portion of God’s kingdom. I will walk with you in the sun and through any storm, and promise to keep myself for you alone as long as we both shall live. I love you.”
